This might be disappointing!

The India we live in today!

Drive your Porsche, crash it, kill people, just make sure your dad is rich!

A recent Pune incident has taken over the internet where a 17-year-old boy was driving his father’s Porsche while drunk, hit a bike and killed two aspiring engineers.

We won’t bore you with the details about this horrific incident, but rather talk about some important points.

The teen as mentioned was drunk, driving at more than 150km/hour when he hit the bike. His CCTV footage recently got viral while he was sitting in a pub having a drink.

Fun FACT: His blood reports mentioned zero alcohol in his system. We are not going to label this as “coincidence”, “mistake” or “interesting”, this is an example of just one of the things you can use money to get out of in India.

The teen was asked to write an essay and work with the traffic police for 15 days. Quite harsh. A surprising fact about how Indian media and even politicians are dealing with this incident is the whole issue is now about bringing down a rich father, we all know nothing is going to happen and this is going to fade away, but seeing a wealthy businessman suffer mildly amuses us somehow.

Politicians such as Rahul Gandhi blamed this on Modi because what better way to provoke him by using this tragic incident and the Indian media were discussing the price of the car and the father’s profession.

When we first heard about this incident, we got to know all updates, information, the model of the car and we somehow even know what drink this kid was having.

But guess what we did not know for almost 4 days after the incident, the names of the victims. Everyone was so focused on amusing themselves with trying to destroy the rich guy, that they forgot about these two lives, two young engineers, left  too soon because a kid had to flex.

This is not the first time for India, we somehow seem to forget too soon and even celebrate movies and go crazy for people who have done similar things.

To sum it up, we would have lost our belief in money and influence if this incident was taken seriously.

Side note: We put this article under the “Education” section because we know this too shall be forgotten very soon.

Sports

RCB: Your one-sided crush:

RCB is somehow a people’s favorite, the team has done something quite unusual in this year’s IPL history. From the bottom of the charts to being in the playoffs, giving hope, and then losing it.

There are a lot of stats about RCB and their players which we are not going to talk about.

This article is just going to talk about sentiments. Why RCB?

The team has never won an IPL trophy, and recently lost to Rajasthan. We had accepted RCB not performing this year as well, but RCB is like the crush which gives you mixed signals. Won’t disappoint you without filling you with hope first.

Quoting all Indian mothers, “ Beta smart bohot hai, bas focus nahi karta”, is applicable to RCB the most. No problem, we are still going to support this team, we still don’t have a clear reason why.
