Aukaat kya hai teri? Atleast some of us know the answer to this!
A quick summary of events going around India, followed by sick dad jokes!
Finance
Know your worth:
“We have probably at least heard this once in our lifetimes, “teri aukaat kya hai”.
Finally, Virat Kohli has the answer to this. It’s 227.9. million, to put that into perspective, that’s more than 190 crores.
Brand value is the net amount Virat Kohli has helped bring to the brands he advertises, which is much more than the previous number.
Thala comes it at number 5, just in case Thala fans have hurt their fragile egos.
Business
Best time to be an Indian:
Gautam Adani, the only guy whom Mukesh takes seriously, has said this statement while speaking at some rich shit event.
He stated India is on the brink of an unprecedented economic boom adding a trillion dollars to its GDP every 12 to 18 months.
The growing trend for students leaving for other countries stating poor economics of the country becomes void as no matter what the circumstances of the country are, people are becoming millionaires daily in India. If you’re not one of them, we recommend watching a Sandeep Maheshwari motivation, not to get motivated but to rather question you’re existence.
Or, go for a Vivek Bindra course, because the next best thing after not being able to become a millionaire, is let someone else become one by fooling you.
Technology
Raising billions to earn millions:
Indian tech startups raised $4.1 billion in the first half this year (January to June to date), a 4 per cent increase from $3.96 billion in the second half of 2023, a report showed on Thursday, as the country witnessed three unicorns along with 17 IPOs in this period.
The month of April saw the highest monthly funding ($862 million) in the first half of 2024.
Bengaluru led the space in terms of total funds raised, followed by Mumbai and Hyderabad.
So, on the risk of us knowing you won’t take us seriously since we are not millionaries, you do not need money to start a business. People are ready to invest in you, in your vision, in your idea, probably focus on that aspect.
Free ki advise hai, lena hai toh lo, varna jaane do.
Sports
Tarun Sharma: not your average sabzi vala:
Tarun Sharma is a name most of you probably haven’t heard about. Enough talk about Kohli and Thala, Mr. sharma is a gold medalist in karate at the All India Para Karate Championship in US. His talent and skills are however not enough for him to live the life an athlete deserves in India. He receieves no sponsorships or government funding, pays everything by himself and to make ends meet, sells vegetables to earn his living.
We all have heard such stories and are hit by a wave of feeling helpless for the guy and then forgetting about it. But it’s the day to day life of people like Tarun which has to remain the same.
Our crew has started a fundraiser for the guy, do help him out at http://m-lp.co/tarunsha-4
Dad Jokes:
Crashed into a light post yesterday while running,
Luckily, I only sustained light injuries. XO
